Getting started

Connect Discord, pick your server, then add keyword rules for the channels you care about. When a matching message lands, Pingster pings the role or user you set.

Keywords

Each rule watches one channel for a keyword (or NONE for stock-only alerts). Turn on exact word if you only want whole-word matches.

• Pick channel + role (or a user id)
• Optional cooldown so the same alert does not spam
• Optional ping message / image on the alert
• Pause a single keyword or a whole channel when you need quiet

Filters

Filters are optional. If you add more than one, all of them must match before Pingster pings.

• Price — ping only when a price in the message/embed is at or below your limit. One price filter per keyword.
• Stock — ping only when stock is at or above your limit. One stock filter per keyword.
• Custom field — for webhooks and embeds that are not about price/stock. Set the embed field name and text that must appear in that field’s value. Add as many custom filters as you need.

Example: a community bot posts embeds with a field named Region. Add a custom filter with field Region and contains EU so only EU posts ping your role.

Custom filters also check plain message lines like Region: EU.

Burst rules

Use burst when you care about several hits in a short window (e.g. outage chatter), not a single keyword. Set keywords, hit count, time window, and cooldown.

Roles & pings

Make sure the Pingster bot role sits above the roles it needs to mention, and that it can see and send in the watched channels.

Common issues

• No pings — check bot online status, channel access, and that the keyword is not paused
• Role not mentioned — raise the bot role above that role in Discord
• Custom filter never fires — field name must match the embed field name (case does not matter); value is a contains match
